Well, if Bill Cosby is the King of Clean, then Joy must be the Queen of Clean! That’s right. Joy is hilarious—one of the funniest women on the comedy circuit today. Her own personal motto is, “I can be funny without cursing or being vulgar.” Her show is rated “F” for Family Fun. Now that’s a twist—a comedy act the whole family can enjoy—young and old—black, white or Hispanic. Joy derives most of her material from everyday life. She finds humor from dialogue clichés to people walking down the street, to the good ol’ folks in the church. Joy is just real!!

JOY has performed at The Stardome Comedy Club, The Southern Women’s Show, The Punchline in Atlanta, GA, The Comedy Catch in Chattanooga,Tennessee, local churches such as Faith Chapel Christian Center, and Sixteenth Street Baptist Church as well as a variety of other corporate, civic and private events across the state.

Since 2004, the Alabama native prides herself on being funny without being raunchy. JOY has many accolades to be happy about. She was featured in the December 2009 issue of Essence Magazine, feature act for Deitrick & Damita Haddon, finalist for the Crazy Praise Competition, named best local Clean Comedienne by The Birmingham Magazine (2008), Finalist for The Stars Fell on Alabama Competition (2005), hosted her own  show “Clean Comedy Nite” at Coffee On Valley.  Joy’s stage name came one morning during her quiet time after being frustrated by personal struggles. She recalled the scriptures “the joy of the Lord is your strength” and “a merry heart doeth good like a medicine.” She always enjoyed making people laugh in everyday conversation so she thought why not get paid for it! In the beginning, friends asked do you have any material? She stated "my whole life is a comedy show!"

Some of her favorite pioneers in the business are: Jonathan Slocumb, Chris Rock, George Lopez, DL Hughley Bruce Bruce, Jerry Sienfield, Steve Harvey & Doug Williams.
